A new feature has also been added to the site called Book Reviews where students can write about the books they&#8217;ve read recently. <p>Lots of great books have been read so far,so don&#8217;t forget to share your reviews (even if they are not positive).</p>
<p>If you&#8217;re not sure what you want to read next, why not give these a try:</p>
<p>Peter and the secret of Rundoon by Dave Barry : the third installment of the Peter Pan story.</p>
<p>Julia Gillian (and the art of knowing) by Alison McGhee : a ten-year old girl, who knows a lot, finds out how valuable friends and family are, and has some pretty funny adventures along the way.</p>
<p>Schooled by Gordon Korman : from living in a commune and being home-schooled, to attending public school, a story of trying to fit in at middle school.<br />

<p>Families in the school purchase FundScrip gift certificates, at cash value for local merchants (groceries, gas, entertainment, clothing etc.) and the school receives a percentage rebate from FundScrip for using their services.<br />
Things you should know:</p>
<p>You do not have to buy anything you don&#8217;t need.<br />
You can purchase groceries, gas, clothing, home renovations, restaurants, you name it they have it!<br />
Profits range from 2% &#8211; 15% for each gift card purchased.<br />
FundScrip pays the rebate profit to the school.<br />
There is no direct cost to you.<br />
If you order a $50.00 gift card, you receive a $50.00 gift card.<br />
You can set your FundScrip purchase to repeat each week, avoiding the need to go online to place orders weekly.<br />
You can change your purchase needs as required.<br />
No door to door sales.</p>

Signing up is free and easy:</p>
<p>- Access the web site at www.fundscrip.com<br />
- Click &#8220;Join for Free&#8221;<br />
- Select &#8220;Quebec&#8221; from the list of provinces<br />
- Scroll down until you find &#8220;St. John Fisher School, Pt Claire&#8221; and click the box next to it<br />
- Complete the registration process</p>
<p>Once you have registered you can make weekly purchases online, deadline is Monday morning at 10:00 to receive your gift cards on Thursday each week.<br />
Payment options:</p>
<p>Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) &#8211; recommended for greatest profit to the school.<br />
Credit Cards &#8211; rebates are lowered by 2.25% to cover associated costs for processing online credit card transactions.</p>

Grade 6 Mini-Day, April 26 &#8211; Students will walk or be bussed to the high school they have chosen for next year, where they will receive an orientation, tour and lunch with <a title="maple sugar" href="http://www.maplesyrupworld.com/">maple sugar</a>.
